All volunteers helping with youth programs must hold a current Pennsylvania child abuse history clearance to be in compliance with Title, Pa. C.S. Chapter 63. Child Abuse Clearance.
The clearance is obtainable at www.compass.state.pa.us/CWIS.
This a relatively new law and it does apply to volunteers helping with all WORGC programs that serve children. Some of these programs are, Youth Day, Youth Shotgun, Junior Hi Power, Hunter/Trapper Education and Rimfire Fun Shoot.
If WORGC is to continue providing these programs our volunteers must have this clearance. This would include everyone on site the day of the event, registration, kitchen, station helpers and walkers.
I have obtained the clearance online and promise you the process is not complicated. There is no cost for the clearance if applied for as a non-paid volunteer. The clearance is valid for 56 months. After the application is completed, submitted and approved you should be able to print the clearance.
The programs WORGC provides to the youth of the area are vital in passing on our heritage and right of firearm ownership to the next generation.
Please go to www.compass.state.pa.us/CWIS and get your clearance ASAP and send a copy of your clearance to:
