"To Support Youth Outdoor Life"
WORGC Youth Day ~ Staffing
Who: Club Members & Spouses
What: Staffing for Youth Day 2022; July 9, 2022
IF ALL STAFFING SLOTS ARE NOT COMPLETELY FILLED BY January 31, 2022, THERE WILL BE NO YOUTH DAY 2022 as Registration will not be opened. We on the Planning Committee WILL NOT undergo another situation like last year, to plan for months, obtain supplies and prizes and have to beg Members to help. In order for WORGC to help fulfill its mission statement ("To Support Youth In the Outdoors") we need to make a commitment to pass our knowledge of hunting/outdoor skills on to the youth just as our mentors passed it on to us! Youth Day has been in existence since 1995 - that is 26 years - we don't want to see it die and hopefully you don't either. We'll know on Jan. 31st.
Registration (checking youth in, distributing shirts/nametags to staff/youth)
Kitchen (prepare food, set up tables/tear-down, serve and clean-up from lunch)
Range Safety Officers (RSO's) - do not participate in anything but standing back to constantly survey entire situation for safety violations and will immediately stop proceedings if something needs corrected.
Walkers (An adult who is in charge of seeing that their ducklings stay together, wash hands before lunch, and get to stations/activities on time)
Note: All volunteers helping with youth programs must hold a current Pennsylvania child abuse history clearance to be in compliance with Title, Pa. C.S. Chapter 63. Child Abuse Clearance. More info can be found on the Youth Volunteers Info page.
